Beard oil is important for the proper maintenance of healthy facial hair, but why?

Well, beard oil isnt only about softening your beard and preventing split ends. It goes deeper than that.

See, beard oil is for the skin also! Our skin produces a waxy, oily substance called sebum. This oil coats, moisturises, and protects the skin.

While our body, through our sebaceous glands, continues to produce this oil under our beards, it cannot keep up with the amount required to keep our beard and face adequately protected and moisturised.

In addition to this, constant washing and environmental conditions can cause our skin to dry out further, causing the dreaded ‘Beard Itch’, normally noticed at its worst a few weeks after shaving.

Jojoba Oil, the main ingredient in our beard oil products, is not actually an oil at all. It is a wax-ester, and regarded worldwide as the closest thing to our bodies natural Sebum. That is why we use it as the main ingredient in our oils!
